One handed set shot

To perfect the set shot let's start with one hand. The hand should start cocked back, with the ball slightly in front of you. As you shoot bend your knees, spring up and unfold your arm so that it straightens and flick your wrist to put back spin on the shot. You should finish up on your toes.

Zig-Zag Defence to Jump Shot S...

Players and cones will be set up as shown in video clip. One offensive and one defensive player. The offence will dribble through the cones with the defence sliding keeping their head in line with the ball. Once they have gone through all the cones, the defensive player will retreat. The offensive player will dribble to 15 foot away from the basket and shoot the ball. The defensive player will contest the shot and then box out to get the rebound.

Shooters will line up with a basketball each. The player with the ball will dribble away from the screen at first and also to get level to have a better angle to use the screen. The players will dribble off the screen to get seperation when they are 1 or 2 dribbles away from the screen the player will stop and shoot a jump shot.

Start with 5 players on court as attackers.Ball starts on half way. 3 players at top creating a triangle, 2 players under hoop.Player with the ball passes to the 'strong side' and stack. Ball is passed around. Any player can put a shot up as long as the triangle is maintained. Players still hold triangle formation around the key - this gives options on offence.

1 offensive player and 1 defensive player. The offensive player will dribble through the cones, once the player has reached the last cone the player will dribble towards the basket and shoot a jump shot.

Players line up outside the key in two lines, with one ball per line. The first player to run must shoot as soon as they enter the key. If they score their team get 2 points, if they miss but catch the rebound before it hits the floor and then score their team gets 1 point. If they miss altogether their team gets no points. The winning team is the one which gets to 21 points first.

Player must shoot from one and then move to the next cone and continue shooting for 1 minute ( players must not shoot from same spot twice in a row). The player's partner will be rebounding for them. After 1 minute they swap roles. Rebounder keeps score. (remember 1 basket = 2 points)

The defensive player will pass the ball to the offensive player. The defensive player will run towards the offensive player and close-out by chopping their feet. Once the defensive player has closed out, the offensive player will dribble towards the baseline for a jump shot. The passer of the ball will run out and do a close out with their hand up to contest the shot.<br /><br /> After the shot has been released they will turn and box out to get the rebound.

One player is an attacker with the other a shadowing defender. The player with the ball has to pass the ball to the attacker, who then passes the ball back. Begin this move with a fake to the middle. Move off the lane about 5 meters to face the other sideline. Toss the ball into the middle of the lane and jab step and cut to the ball and catch chin and shoot a 2 meter jump hook. Take twenty shots on both sides.

Players pass the ball to the coach or a feeder just inside the key and run immediately after passing towards the basket. When they are in a prime shooting position they should stop, turn and prepare to recieve a return pass. As soon as the feeder sees the player is ready they should pass to the shooter who then attempts to score.
